Girls for a Change 2012 Conference

GFAC 2012 Demo Team

We had a lot of fun at the  2012 Girls For a Change Conference at MSU in Bozeman on Saturday, February 25, 2012.

The conference was open to girls in grades 8 through 12.

The program said, “The opening of the conference will focus on helping girls identify their human capital including their unique inherent assets and how building on these helps them define what is 100% Possible in their lives.”

Kim’s Taekwon-Do School and Three Rivers Defense provided a workshop,  introducing about 35 girls to taekwon-do, personal safety, and self-defense.

At the Three Rivers Defense  Self-Defense Station, we practiced hammer fists to the forearm  and nose with targets. The young women all demonstrated a lot of power.

For more photos, see our Facebook page, Three Rivers Defense.

For more information on the conference go to the Girls for a Change website.

  1. What a powerful group of young women.
It was a lot of fun for all of us from Kim’s Taekwon-Do School and Three Rivers Defense to work with you. All of you did an impressive job at our Hammer Fist Station. There were some awesome strikes!
    Thanks again for joining us,
